I have a question..... how much do you pay for a haircut?
I have long, fine hair. It's hard for me to do anything with it in the mornings because it doesn't hold a style. Because of this, I rely on really good haircuts that make my hair look okay, but don't require maintenance.
I had one of these cuts yesterday. I go to a really great salon and my cut costs me about $55, and then I usually top on top of that.
Is this extreme? I know that I am working on my finances and being frugal, but should I be cutting back on my cuts too?

I pay $15 normally. Normally guys hair cuts are cheaper though, and I've been going to the same person since middle school.
Funny story, my childhood barber was murdered by a sniper. What happened? Clayton County happened.
Anyhow, nowadays I pay nothing, unless of course you factor in the cost of shave gel and razors. When I decide to grow it out, a usual trim at great clips or wherever will rarely run for more than $15.
Maybe you should find a gay male hairdresser friend to style it for you. They're not hard to find in Atlanta. I found one without even looking.
My wife cuts my hair for free, but she's paid $50+ for haircuts before. She typically get's a trim and pays $15 at the local cheap cuts place. Once or twice a year she receives a real style and pays over $50 for that. If it's in your budget, go for it:)
haircuts are one thing I cannot skimp on, but $50 ish is where I draw the line.
I think it depends on how often it needs to be cut. $55 is OK, but not if you need to cut it every 6 weeks. If it is 6 weeks or less, and you're trying to be frugal, I'd scout my area for a good stylist that just so happens to be stuck working at Super Cuts.
